Production of new modules

In addition to the 25 adapted modules, five new modules (1 per partner institution) will be developed. The new modules will be designed to be interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary with core Humanitarian action knowledge, values and skills that cut across professions and disciplines, with due consideration of country and regional concerns.

The planned adapted and new curricula are designed to be dialogical and democratic, informed by mutual respect between partner and programme institutions and regard for what each has to offer.

Both adapted and new modules will be directly beneficial to academics and students; have consequential benefits for communities; and support national development imperatives related to the sustainable development goals (SDGs), as graduates possess professional expertise that is taken into communities, and contribute to national programme and policy development.

Within the overarching theme of Humanitarian action, the modules will be based on competencies required by local, national and regional needs, and prepare graduates to enter competitive open labour markets.

Development includes curricula design and development, quality assurance of the twenty five adapted modules and the five new modules, and preparation for and implementation of the modules.
